Billabong Zoo Koala & Wildlife Park

There are over 200 animals for you to see in this tranquil 10 acre Koala and Wildlife Park with over 80 species of mammals, reptiles and birds. Especially popular for children and adults alike is the kangaroo and wallaby walk through hand-feeding area free and open all day. Children can enjoy the playground and the whole family have access to picnic areas. Stoney Aqua Park

Stoney Aqua Park is a water lover’s dream, located 10 minutes from Port Macquarie.  It covers a huge area and boasts a wide array of inflatable fun items for everyone’s enjoyment, suitable for all ages. The Aqua Park is based on a man-made lake, so no sharks guaranteed!  

Also at the complex, on a second man-made lake is a water-ski park where you can water ski, wake board or go tube riding. So make a splash on your holiday and join in the fun at this awesome aqua park!

The Koala hospital

The Koala Hospital is in the grounds of the historic and beautiful Roto House. It is the world's first hospital dedicated solely to the care and conservation of koalas.

Tours of the facility, educational displays and koala yards are self-guided. Visiting the Koala Hospital is free of charge and the hospital is open 8.30am-4.00pm daily.

Ellenborough Falls

Ellenborough Falls, is located in the Mid North Coast region of New South Wales. At 200 metres, Ellenborough Falls is the tallest single drop waterfall in New South Wales and amongst the tallest in the southern hemisphere. It's an iconic experience of the Manning Valley region in the Barrington Coast.

Admire the falls from the viewing platforms near the top or for the more adventurous you can descend 641 steps to the base of the falls. At the bottom is a rock pool misted by the spray of the water coming off the waterfall.

The view looking back up the waterfall is mesmerising. Keep an eye out for the birds and animals that make this special place their home.

How to get there: take the M1 to Wauchope, in Wauchope take a right towards Beech Croft, then follow Comboyne

Coastal Walk

Putting your best foot forward-a definite 'must do' activity when in Port Macquarie is the Coastal Walk-a 9km easy-grade walk that follows one of the most dramatic and inspiring coastlines in NSW. This walk features beaches, headlands, historic sites, rainforests and fantastic views. Start the walk from Town Green foreshore in Port Macquarie, winding along the coast via Town Beach, Rocky Beach lookout, Nobby’s Beach and Harry's lookout overlooking Shelly Beach and on to Sea Acres.

You’ll see several historical sites along the way and enjoy stunning seaside scenery that surrounds Port Macquarie. Opportunities abound for viewing dolphins plus there is a variety of birdlife and the annual whale migration from May to November.

The walk ends at Tacking Point lighthouse.

Port Macquarie Camel Safari on Light House Beach

Enjoy a unique and fun filled experience on Port Macquarie’s most beautiful southerly beach, Lighthouse Beach. Dolphins are frequently seen dancing in the waves and whales are commonly seen migrating during the whale season. Be sure to bring your camera for a fun and memorable experience for the whole family.

Jolly Nose Mountain Bike Park

Jolly Nose Mountain Bike Park is located in Queens Lake State Forest Bonny Hills (off Houston Mitchell Drive).

The park boasts approximately 60 kilometres of single track mountain bike trails for both gravity and cross country mountain bike riding.

All trails in the park are sign posted and are rated according to the level of difficulty. The ratings range from beginner to intermediate and advanced.

Jolly Nose Mountain Bike Park is easily accessible by car and is only a short 20 minutes drive south of Port Macquarie.

Ricardoes

Ricardoes Tomatoes & Strawberries is located just ten minutes north of Port Macquarie on the Mid North Coast of NSW.  

Experience the pleasure of picking your own plump, luscious strawberries. The strawberries are hydroponically grown and at shoulder height so no back breaking bending. 

All attractions are under cover in the greenhouses in case of rain, wind or chill.
